Ai-Dapps, a platform development company specializing in distributed cloud-based platforms, announced that it will complete the planning and development of "DeBox," a platform that detects dangerous situations on the road in real time for car drivers. ​

"DeBox is an intelligent transportation system (ITS) platform to prevent traffic accidents by acquiring environmental information on roads in real time and providing drivers with dangerous road conditions so that they can check and preemptively respond to dangerous factors," an official said.

​ "Debox consists of apps used by drivers while driving, distributed storage that stores videos, and servers that perform image analysis and learning. Road image data collected in real time through the app are transmitted to distributed storage and all of them are stored, and all road environment information is analyzed by time and location through purification and normalization process using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The analysis results of the road environment information by time and location are transmitted to drivers in real time so that they can predict accidents on driving roads and detect dangerous situations. ​

Based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, a large amount of computing resources and other costs are needed to analyze and learn large amounts of road image data without degrading image quality, and Ai-Dapps strategy is to reduce time and cost by utilizing its own distributed cloud environment.He explained. ​

"The existing traffic situation management was done by providing dangerous situations through CCTV control systems or recently developed smart road lighting, and D-Box is a big difference in providing dangerous situations on roads where drivers move directly," he said. "We expect to reduce human and material damage at a time when traffic accidents are still emerging as a serious social problem."
