Petcare Lab Co., Ltd., established by Ai-Dapps Co., Ltd. for the pet healthcare business, announced that it is developing smart toilet plate products used by dogs. ​

The smart toilet board under development is a pet healthcare product that aims to detect diseases of pets early and lead a healthy pet family through prevention by using artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis technology. ​

It communicates with a smartphone used by a companion by installing communication modules and various sensors on a printed circuit board (PCB) built into a bowel movement plate, automatically detects a dog on a bowel movement, measures weight, and detects urine. When a dog's urine is detected, clean washing water is automatically discharged, and it has a flushing function to wash and clean the bowel plate, and a water purification filter and carbon filter are applied to make clean washing water and remove odors. ​

After product planning, market research, and user research over the past few months, the final design for apps and products has been released and hardware circuit design is underway. Following the launch of the prototype around March next year, the company plans to release the final completed product within the first half of the year. ​

"As the pet market has grown rapidly in recent years, PetTech is attracting attention as a blue ocean market," a Petcare Lab official said. "The smart bowel movement currently being developed is expected to succeed in the market with advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis, transparent data management and big data, and smartphones and data communication."
